In Eau Claire, there is no shortage of shops and tantalizing treats to browse through on a stroll downtown, but Jenn Linville saw the potential for more. In May, Linville will officially open her specialty shop, Lily Beez, to add a splash of luxury and elegance to the scene.

Linville has been inspired by the beauty of architecture and flowers for as long as she can remember. After the devastating toll the pandemic took on her life, she was in search of a change. “I was literally crying in a bar, and I was asked what I wanted to do, and I said I wanted to own a business. I wanted to garden,” Linville said.

Her words made it to the right people, the Business Improvement District board, and she was hired to tackle the gardens and city planting pots in downtown Eau Claire. “That kind of inspired them to encourage me to open a store,” Linville said.

The prospect of her own store and what it would look like danced in the back of Linville’s head as she tried to pinpoint the right avenue for inventory. “There’s already florists in Eau Claire,” Linville said. “What’s going to set me apart from everybody else? There’s not a whole lot of higher-end, luxury stores here. So I wanted to hit another avenue and carry something different.”

That something different is an eclectic, elegant blend of cigars, chocolates, truffles, candles, luxury florals, and bakery items fresh every morning from Bloomer Bakery – all things she noticed a lack of in the area. The vision for the shop has completely exceeded expectations, and has been physically brought to life by Claflin Construction to exude Roman-inspired, refined architecture and beautiful simplicity, funded in part by the 2023 Jumpstart Downtown Award.

“Winning that award was a connection to the business community downtown,” Linville said. “Small business is so important, especially building relationships with other small business owners so we can grow and change together.”

Lily Beez’s grand opening is slated for  May 10 at 303 Main St., Eau Claire, and Linville has exciting developments in the works. Hat box florals – floral bouquets presented in a reusable hat box – will be a hot-ticket item. With colors, baked goods, and beauty, Linville has only one aim in mind for her store. “A friendly, beautiful space to treat yourself and loved ones to with a little spice of sparkle,” Linville said. “Experience the luxury.”

Lily Beez will open at 303 Main St., Eau Claire on May 10 • The business will be open Thursday through Sunday, hours to be determined • Keep up with them on their Facebook and keep an eye out for their website when it is live!
