Here’s What’s Happening New Year’s Eve in the Chippewa Valley

A NEW YEAR IS BUBBLING! Get ready to ring in 2024 with music, dancing, and more.

If you and your “old acquaintances” want to get together to give 2023 a good send off and greet 2024 with a bang, here are the events and activities going on in the Chippewa Valley for New Year’s Eve – from family-friendly parties and balloon drops to music ranging from rock to funk to big band. Happy New Year!

Ultimate End of the Year Dance Party

8pm, Saturday, Dec. 30 • FREE • 21+ • The Red Mixer, 2526 Golf Road, Eau Claire

A year-ending dance party with music from the ’80s to today, brought to you by DJ Moses.

Noon Year’s Eve

10am-noon, Sunday, Dec. 31 • FREE with museum admission • Children’s Museum of Eau Claire, 126 N. Barstow St., Eau Claire

Ring in the New Year and wave goodbye to the old. There will be a balloon drop countdown with a bubble wrap stomp, party hat, noisemaker making, a dance party, face painting, and more.

New Year’s Skating Party with Balloon Drop

noon-3pm and 4:30-7:30pm, Sunday, Dec. 31 • $15 kids and $6 adults (includes rentals), $60 group rate package • High Roller Skating Center, 3120 Melby St., Eau Claire •

Skate your way into the near year. Two parties with giant balloon drops with giveaways, candy, and toys.

Troppo Big Band

Troppo Big Band New Year’s Eve BASH

6:30pm Sunday, Dec. 31 • $18 adults, $12 seniors, $9 youth • Heyde Center for the Arts, 3 S. High St., Chippewa Falls

Ring in the New Year with the Chippewa Valley’s best big band jazz orchestra. Grab your dancing shoes and head for the Heyde Center for the Arts on this special evening. Cocktails and appetizers start at 6:30pm, music starts at 7:30pm.

NYE Party featuring Matt Tenbroke Quartet

7pm, Sunday, Dec. 31 • FREE, all ages • 2 Roots Gallery, 216 S. Barstow St., Eau Claire

Saxophone jazz quartet helping to ring in the new year.

New Year’s Eve Party at Helix

7pm, Sunday, Dec. 31 • Helix Wine, Craft Bar & Cafe, 1444 Front Porch Place, Altoona

Complimentary hors d’oeuvres (7-10pm), raffle prize giveaways every 10 minutes from 10:30pm to 12:30am. Craft cocktails, wine, bubbly, beer, N/A options flowing all night. Food available until 10pm.

New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball

7pm Sunday, Dec. 31 • The Red Mixer, 2526 Golf Road, Eau Claire

Martini bar, hors d’oeuvre, champagne, and more. Dance the night away with DJ Moses in your masquerade masks and formal wear. Entry proceeds benefit bar manager, who injured her back in an accident.

Other Brothers Band New Year’s Eve Party

Ring in 2024. Boasting tight vocal harmonies and outstanding musicianship, the Other Brothers Band is a “listeners’ band” to which you can dance.
