From sports to trading card games (TCGs) to pop culture, you can find it all and more at Coulee Cards & Gaming, located in Oakwood Mall (4800 Golf Road, Eau Claire).

Coulee Cards & Gaming has its hands in all things TCG, including Yu-Gi-Oh!, Weiß Schwarz, Disney Lorcana, and Pokémon, which is their best-seller by far. Popular picks in sports memorabilia include baseball and football, with basketball and hockey not far behind; they even get the occasional pro-wrestling fan perusing their shelves.“We want to create a store that gives any collector anything and everything they could possibly look at,” said Ben Bettis, TCG manager at the store.

An Onalaska-based company, Coulee Cards & Gaming brought its love of the hobby and extensive inventory up to the Chippewa Valley last October and has been creating a local community ever since. Bettis credits untapped potential for the brand’s expansion to Eau Claire.

“It really became a small community of collectors and it doesn’t matter what you collect, you have a place here to connect with fellow hobbyists.”

“Being able to take what we’ve brought from our home store in Onalaska and kind of expand it tenfold, people are really enjoying having such a big card shop to be able to rely on for pretty much any and all TCG needs,” he said.

“And sports!” Store Manager Liane Olson chimed in.

At Coulee Cards & Gaming, you get an experience that you can’t find at a big box store: a knowledgeable and passionate staff that knows the ins and outs of collecting all while making connections. “We get to share something with others that we enjoy on a personal level. I love being able to connect with people old and young, whether it’s sports (or) Pokémon,” Bettis said.

“It really became a small community of collectors and it doesn’t matter what you collect, you have a place here to connect with fellow hobbyists,” Olson said of the shop’s expansion to the Valley.
