The Great Big Hullabaloo: Welcoming a New District!
the comeback event is bigger and better, welcoming the Sports & Rec District for the first time!

By now, we know you’ve heard the Great Big Hullabaloo event is coming back this year for the first time since 2019, and we hope you’re as psyched as we are! Plus, we’ve been keeping a big secret ... the event is going to be even bigger and better than the inaugural 2019 shindig, and we mean literally: in addition to the five awesome districts, we’re kickin’ it up to six districts of activities!
Saturday, May 20, from 10am-4pm at the Pablo Center, we are hosting a total takeover across two floors, welcoming kiddos and their families to a full day of not-your-average activities and events. Returning districts include the Music District, Theatre District, Science and Math District, Art District, Technology District, and new this year, the Sports District!

“After four years, we are so excited for the Great Big Hullabaloo to return! On top of all the incredible performances, games, crafts, and more, we’re welcoming the Sports & Rec District to the lineup,” event coordinator Joann Martin said. “We added the sixth district to round out the various opportunities our youth have to get involved in the Chippewa Valley.”
Before even getting into each district, upon walking into the lobby, we’ll be handing out “passports” for kids – earning a stamp at each of the six districts and turning it in earning them a prize! – and hosting a Volume One Fun Zone, a snack and juice bar, Minute to Win It games, and more!
Across each district will be a plethora of unique, exciting activities, and starting in the Music District, Kaleidoscope Entertainment will keep the party pumpin’ with a Kid Disco, Klezmazel will be playing their tunes, a slo-mo confetti video booth, an instrument petting zoo from Morgan Music, and so much more!
The Theatre District will have several performances featuring Mark Hayward Yo Yo Comedian and Diamond School of Dance, among other amazing offerings.
The Science and Math District will have interactive displays, like a lung display from Mayo Clinic Health System, a Create Your Own Super Hero Mask space, and tons more.
The Art District will have local businesses like The Glass Orchard and Half Moon Clay offering up unique art projects and activities, Ride the Spin Art Bike, and more.
The Technology District will host a LEGO Obstacle Course Competition, a robotics demo by the local robotics team 8744 Leviathans, and more.
This year’s new district, the Sports & Rec District, will have many clinic-style activities like gymnastics and ninja skills, interactive soccer and hockey drills, and more.
Seriously, you’re not going to want to miss this year’s comeback Great Big Hullabaloo event! Tickets are available for purchase online at volumeone.org/hullabaloo, the no-additional-fee tickets going for $10 for kids ages 2-12, free for kids under 2, $15 per adult, and a deal for the Family Pack of 4+ people! A portion of all ticket sales will go to this year’s charity partner, the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin.
