The Sounds Like Summer Concert Series is Volume One's Thursday night gig in downtown Eau Claire's Phoenix Park. Local bands play to crowds each night on the banks of the Chippewa River in June, July, and August. Multiple food vendors will have food for sale. Pets are allowed at the concert.

Acoustic singer/songwriter Micah Ryan plays a unique style of pop/blues at 6pm.

6:30 pm - Cathy Reitz & 7Swing

Featuring Cathy Reitz on vocals, a rhythm section and 3 horns make up the group. Members of 7 Swing are successful, active, established musicians from the Eau Claire area and together create a solid sound perfect for any event.

7:30 pm - Waldemar

Singer-songwriter Gabe Larson is the artistic gravity behind Waldemar, a heartland indie rock band (think The War on Drugs and The National with a dash of Willie Nelson), based in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Waldemar combines soaring vocals and poignant, confessional lyrics against a dense backdrop of sweeping guitar tapestries and synth textures to deliver a sonic freight train of an album. The new record 'Ruthless' is a journeyman musician’s fixation, the renegade harmonies of a blue-collar poet.
